ROSALIND.
It is not the fashion to see the lady the epilogue; but
it is no more unhandsome than to see the lord the prologue.
If it be true that good wine needs no bush, 'tis true that a good
play needs no epilogue. Yet to good wine they do use good bushes;
and good plays prove the better by the help of good epilogues.
What a case am I in, then, that am neither a good epilogue nor
cannot insinuate with you in the behalf of a good play! I am not
furnished like a beggar; therefore to beg will not become me: my
way is to conjure you; and I'll begin with the women. I charge
you, O women, for the love you bear to men, to like as much of
this play as please you: and I charge you, O men, for the love
you bear to women;--as I perceive by your simpering, none of you
hates them,--that between you and the women the play may please.
If I were a woman, I would kiss as many of you as had beards that
pleased me, complexions that liked me, and breaths that I defied
not; and, I am sure, as many as have good beards, or good faces,
or sweet breaths, will, for my kind offer, when I make curtsy,
bid me farewell.
[Exeunt.]-Shakespeare, As You Like It, Act 5, Epilogue

"I want to be a skeleton - but i also want to be attractive. I want to die - but i also want to live." (says leslie)
"People have dreams. And in singapore, it's hard to make dreams like that happen on your own. So you want somebody who shares those dreams with you and who can help take you there."
"But why dream just about nice cars and big houses?" Denise asked. "I mean, it isn't all that hard in canada, but it's no big deal.
"I dunno," said Nick. "maybe it's because in Singapore, there's little else to dream about. we've had a government for the last 20-odd years has just harped on one thing - economic progress - and really, everything else we do just feeds this one thing. so we're awfully focused as a country, but it means we have just one dream. Getting richer. It's the only thing that's clearly allowed. The signal's out and clear. Don't mess in politics, unless the ruling party invites you to join them, if you want to be an artist, go ahead, but don't upset anybody, especially the ruling party. If you want to dream about heaven, go ahead, just don't try getting everyone else to believe in your heaven. And yes, if you haven't accumulated enough wealth and the shit hits the fan for you in anything, you're on your own because you had a fair shot at it, like anyone else. In warped sense, it's really a very free country, but you're expected to play only one game. It's really a kind of totalitarian capitalism. One game. Everybody gets a shot at it. There are strict rules to ensure that everybody plays fair. It's the best game there is, everyone plays it and if you don't want to then you have to accept that some player you fancy is going to find it hard to team up with you.'

Drew looks at me, I fake a smile so he won't see
That I want and I need everything that we should be
I'll bet she's beautiful, that girl he talks about
And she's got everything that I have to live without
Drew talks to me, I laugh cause it's just so funny
That I can't even see anyone when he's with me
He says he's so in love, he's finally got it right,
I wonder if he knows he's all I think about at night
[Chorus:]
He's the reason for the teardrops on my guitar
The only thing that keeps me wishing on a wishing star
He's the song in the car I keep singing, don't know why I do
Drew walks by me, can he tell that I can't breathe?
And there he goes, so perfectly,
The kind of flawless I wish I could be
She'd better hold him tight, give him all her love
Look in those beautiful eyes and know she's lucky cause
[Repeat Chorus]
So I drive home alone, as I turn out the light
I'll put his picture down and maybe
Get some sleep tonight
He's the reason for the teardrops on my guitar
The only one who's got enough of me to break my heart
He's the song in the car I keep singing, don't know why I do
He's the time taken up, but there's never enough
And he's all that I need to fall into..
Drew looks at me, I fake a smile so he won't see.
joan: why/how izzit different when u talk to your friends thru msn, skype or phone versus when u talk to them in real life
fayth:in real life, you notice the little details about that person, whether it be the way they laugh or the tilt of their head. if you do it virtually, you're more focused on the conversation and subject, therefore you dont pay much attention to detail. it's a loss in a way, because little things make up a person too.

what to do?
dreams are important, but not that important.
now from his breast into his eyes the ache
of longing mounted, and he wept at last,
his dear wife, clear and faithful, in his arms,
longed for as the sunwarmed earth is longed for by a swimmer
spent in the rough water where his ship went down
under Poseidon's blows, gale winds and tons of sea
few men can keep alive through a big surf
to crawl, clotted with brine, on kindly beaches
in joy, in joy, knowing tht abyss behind:
and so she too rejoiced, her gaze upon her husband,
her white arms around him pressed as tough forever.-from the odyssey

Why, thou sayest well. I do now remember a saying, 'The fool doth think he is wise, but the wise man knows himself to be a fool.' The heathen philosopher, when he had a desire to eat a grape, would open his lips when he put it into his mouth; meaning thereby that grapes were made to eat and lips to open.
